Rachael Ridley

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist

With broad experience across specialist neurological rehabilitation and community-based physiotherapy services, Rachael brings a comprehensive and compassionate approach to her practice.

She began her career within the NHS, where she developed strong clinical foundations while working across trauma and orthopaedics, respiratory and medical services, falls prevention, admission avoidance, post-surgical recovery, and community rehabilitation. Over time, she developed a particular interest in supporting individuals following stroke and those living with complex neurological conditions.

Rachael has a specialist interest in upper limb rehabilitation and spasticity management, areas in which she has developed advanced skills to optimise movement, comfort, and functional independence.

She delivers thorough, evidence-based, and patient-centred care, tailoring rehabilitation programmes to each individual’s goals, abilities, and priorities. Her approach emphasises collaborative goal-setting with patients and families, ensuring that outcomes are realistic, meaningful, and aligned with long-term condition management.

Her clinical expertise includes gait analysis and mobility rehabilitation, hydrotherapy to support movement and confidence, and the use of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) within neurological rehabilitation programmes. Rachael’s breadth of experience enables her to provide holistic, effective treatment that supports recovery, independence, and improved quality of life.
